Project 365 Week 4

Is it really week 4 already? I am doing so good at this!!! Here was our week...with some extra pictures!

Sunday: I guess we should be happy that the Falcons made the playoffs. At least E got to wear her cheerleader suit a few times.

Monday: The kids and I all had Monday off for MLK Jr. Day. We decided to just hang at home. Emmalyn finally discovered the purpose of her arms...to hit those darn toys!

Tuesday: I'm running a half-marathon in April. I'm not really sure what I was thinking when I signed up, but since it cost me a small fortune, I am committed. I want to personally thank Nike for these socks that help me distinguish the right one from the left one. To be honest, when they come out of the wash, they look exactly the same. Except for the letters.

Wednesday: I had actually prepared part of this dinner in advance so it would be ready when I got home. It's so nice to come home and sit down with these guys and here about their day.

Thursday: The view from the stop sign by my school. So pretty.

Friday: A certain "used to be the baby now the middle child" informed me that he was feeling somewhat neglected and the only thing that could rectify the situation was one-on-one time with Mom. So I promised him that when I got home Friday we would do something together. That ended up being dinner at Burger King and a trip to Game Stop. I love this kid.

Saturday: While Tyler got BK and Gamestop on Friday, Logan got Taco Bell and Girl Scout Cookies on Saturday. He was my helper when I picked up the cookies, which took a LONG time. No complaints from me though. I sure didn't want to be hauling out all those cookie and dealing with angry troop leaders! We then had to take them to my school, where my co-leader and second grade teammate got in on the fun! By 4pm, we only had a few boxes left after distributing them. I hope the girls have good sales this year!

Also on Saturday, Ed and I decided to grab a quick dinner and then he wanted to go look for a new watch. While passing Claire's I thought...why not? Let's get some ears pierced! E did so good on the first one, but the second one was not so much fun. She looks adorable! (Hopefully the video will play!)

Hope you all have a blessed week!

Project 365 Week 3

What a week! I can honestly say I was exhausted by Wednesday and had to drag myself through Friday. One thing everyone should know about being a teacher is the amount of energy it requires. I really should start eating better to prepare for it...

Anyhow, here was my week in pictures!

Sunday: Falcons win! This picture says it all.

Monday: Or should I say, VICTORY MONDAY. My teammate picked the Seahawks over the Falcons, so he had to buy me a Double Chocolate Chip Frappucino for my win. I also actually remembered to turn in my football sheet at school and I won the weekend pot! Woohoo!!! I also included a screenshot of mine and my teammate's conversation after my win. He had texted me a smiley face when the Seahawks took the lead with 30 seconds left. It made my win that much sweeter!

Tuesday: I had crosswalk duty last week. I felt sorry for the teachers who had it this week. It was FREEZING!!!

Wednesday: I had to work late, and Ed drove into town to eat dinner with me. These are the fried pickles at Black Eyed Pea. They are huge! And soooo yummy!

Thursday: There is an influx of chalkboards at our school as a result of SMART boards being installed. I was having another chalkboard put on my side wall, and I had to move a lot of stuff so they could get it up. My room was a disaster.

Friday: I got home later than normal and Ed tried to keep E awake for me. She was snoozing within a minute of me getting her.

Saturday: Tyler has been begging to go to Chipotle, so we gave in and took them. These boys love their burritos!

Hope you all have a great week!

Project 365 Week 2

What a week! It was my first full week back at work since having Emmalyn. Needless to say, I was exhausted by Friday afternoon. But it was great to be back. I missed (most of) my kiddos and it didn't take long to get Mrs. McCoy's rules back into play. It was all fun and games...and then I came back. Oh well! On with our week...

Sunday: I try to spend as much time as I can with E, but apparently lesson planning bores her.

Monday: E has officially outgrown her newborn clothes. Considering she is almost 4 months old, I do think its about time. And yes...some still had tags on them. Sigh.

Tuesday: I love love love my laminator! Plus, when you're entrusting your materials to 7 years old, you should make they're as sturdy as possible.

Wednesday: Seriously...waking up to this never gets old.

Thursday: Don't be fooled by the smile...this was his second go at homework. After his annoying teacher mom/responsible parent checked it. It's only because I love you buddy. And I don't want to support you forever when you're dream of being a video game tester doesn't pan out.

Friday: It was team day at school. This is me and one of the kindergarten teachers. She's a die-hard Broncos fan. She's probably in mourning.

Saturday: The dryer broke and we're waiting on the part. So this is what laundry looks like after a week. Boo!

Two weeks in a row!!! Yay me!

Have a blessed week!

Project 365 Week 1

Happy New Year! We're going to give this a go again this year and hopefully be more consistent with it. With that said...here was our first week of the year!

Sunday: After the Atlanta game, I begged Ed to take me to Frankie's Too, a great Sports Bar near where we live. I love their fried pickles!

Monday: It was last minute, but we decided to go out on New Years Eve. A couple of friends volunteered to watch Emmalyn, so Ed and I went out to eat at Outback and the went to see Les Miserables. When we came out of the theatre, it had snowed. Great night!

Tuesday: I bought Ed Seasons 1 and 2 of The Sopranos for Christmas. He and Emmalyn were enjoying a marathon.

Wednesday: One thing I want to improve this year is our family dinners. I really want us to sit together and talk about our day.

Thursday: It's so hard to go to sleep at night when you roll over and see those big blue eyes looking up at you!

Friday: My friend Shari does the Manitou Incline almost every Friday, and this week I tagged along. She was nice and stopped halfway up for me, and this was the shot from that point. It is quite the workout!

Saturday: We're also trying to get back in the swing of going to church. I prefer the Saturday night service, and we go out and eat afterwards. Doesn't E look pretty in her dress? After the picture, we traded her hat for a bow.

Have a blessed week!
